Transit Oriented Development Strategic Plan
On December 23, 2020, the Planning Board for the City of Trenton adopted the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Strategic Plan as an element of the Trenton250 Master Plan. This strategic plan was prepared for the City of Trenton by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Local Planning Services. Significant public outreach was conducted with the assistance of New Jersey Future and Greater Trenton to prepare the concept plans and recommended actions.
The goal of this TOD Plan is to coordinate public investment and encourage private sector investment, compact mixed-use development, multi-modal linkages and equitable access in and around the Trenton Transit Center and the three River LINE stations. The TOD Plan provides a vision for the buildout of underutilized properties and recommends prioritized actions.
