Background
Initiatives provide the ability to take action proactively. They specify the work that needs to be accomplished in order to achieve the goals. These are multidisciplinary in nature and may take more than one department along with community partnerships to launch, manage, and complete.
Each goal has a set of initiatives that get assigned to lead departments. The lead department for an initiative is accountable to convene the necessary partners to galvanize resources and launch the initiative.
